GPDP 2 held its third online LNG training on 29 July 2021 which focused on the “Technical Aspects of LNG”. This training covered gas power technologies and technologies for non-power applications of natural gas with a special focus on the industrial sector. The courses provided the participants with further knowledge on various technologies, both available and emerging, that can maximize the potential use of natural gas in the Philippines. Resource speakers were Mr. Dave O’Brien and Mr. Sanket Desai, gas experts from Exxon Mobil.

Over 70 participants coming from various government agencies were in attendance including representatives from Department of Energy, Department of Interior and Local Government—Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Labor and Employment—Bureau of Working Conditions, Philippine Coast Guard, Maritime Industry Authority, Philippine Ports Authority, and Batangas City Engineer’s Office.

The training was co-organized with the USAID Asia Gas Partnership and United States Energy Association and was supported by the U.S. Department of State.
