PDNGI Technical Regulatory Recommendations: Final Presentation for Regulators and Policymakers
The GPDP successfully held its PDNGI Technical Regulatory Recommendations: Final Presentation for Regulators and Policymakers on 28 October 2021. The presentation was the culmination of GPDP’s technical work for the past 10 months that included a series of interviews, consultations, and simulation runs with the concerned agencies in the natural gas sector. It highlighted the final version of the Proposed Regulatory Process or PRP that includes the proposed list of codes and standards for adoption, list of documentary requirements, and a summary of identified inter-agency issues.
The technical regulatory recommendations are envisioned to contribute to developing a well-thought-out and foolproof regulatory structure and to substantively help the agencies in carrying out their respective mandates.
Over 70 participants were in attendance including representatives from the Department of Energy, Bureau of Fire Protection, Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Environment Management Bureau, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Labor and Employment, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Ports Authority, Laguna Lake Development Authority, Batangas City Engineer’s Office, Local Government Unit of Pagbilao, and the Senate Committee on Energy.
