The Gas Policy Development Project (GPDP) is back! To kick off its second phase, GPDP 2 held an Inception Workshop last Friday, December 11.  A total of 60 participants were present during the virtual workshop including representatives from the member agencies of the Philippine Inter Agency Health, Safety, Security, Environment Inspection & Monitoring Team (PIA-HSSE-IMT), Senate Committee on Energy, House Committee of Energy, U.S. Department of State (USDS), and Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP).

Through the workshop, participants were informed about GPDP 2’s goals, activities, and expected outputs, and the role of their respective government units and agencies in future activities. 

Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Energy, delivered his closing remarks to conclude the program. 

GPDP 2 aims to continue its efforts and initiatives in providing technical assistance to the Department of Energy (DOE). It is again being implemented by the UP Statistical Center Research Foundation, Inc. (UPSCRFI) through a cooperative agreement with the USDS under the U.S. Asia Enhancing Development and Growth through Energy (Asia EDGE) initiative.
