Discipline-specific Training Series
In March and April 2022, the GPDP successfully conducted its Plenary Training Series that served as introductory courses on the various disciplines critical to the LNG sector. The courses included: Process Safety and Occupational Health; Mechanical Equipment/Facilities; Structural/Geotechnical Engineering; Environmental Considerations; Marine Engineering; Coastal and Port Engineering; and Electrical and Fire Explosion Safety.
The trainings were conducted by GPDP’s Technical Experts namely Engr. Carmelita Villanueva, Dr. Joseph Gerard Reyes, Prof. Ulpiano Ignacio, Engr. Kristian July Yap, Engr. Paul Rodgers, and Dr. Eric Cruz.
A cumulative total of 998 participants were gathered from all the trainings, with participants coming from various government agencies involved in the LNG sector including the Department of Energy; Department of Environment and Natural Resources; Department of Labor and Employment—Bureau of Working Conditions; Department of Health—Bureau of Quarantine; Maritime Industry Authority; Philippine Ports Authority; Bureau of Fire Protection; Philippine Coast Guard; Department of Interior and Local Government; Bureau of Customs; Department of Public Works and Highways; Laguna Lake Development Authority; and representatives from local government units of Batangas Province and Pagbilao Quezon.
